E-mail marketing is a pretty straight-forward conceptIt’s the process of marketing a product through e-mail messages. Seems easy enough, right?

You might be wondering why e-mail marketing is important and how it can increase your bottom line? The more people you send e-mails to promoting your products, the more sales will be generated. This is because you can send these e-mails to existing customers as well as potentially new customers.

Existing customers are the people who have purchased from you before and you likely stored their e-mail address and added it to your “list”. You can send promotions, discounts, sale information, new product information, etc. with the hopes that these existing customers will return for another purchase.

New customer e-mail addresses are usually acquired through a newsletter sign-up, or a list that can be purchased from another company that specializes in that sort of thing, although SPAM is one of the worste and most annoying tactics used today, so be careful not to anger your customers by sending TOO many e-mails their way. they could always black-list your e-mails. For example, I have around 100 e-mail addresses black-listed in my account, which means I will never receive another e-mail from them again. Hooray!

It is a great idea to add back-links (links back to your web page) in your e-mails so potential customers can easily access your page if they decide they are interested in whatever you’re offering. Putting direct links to your affiliate products is another way of generating more sales that doesn’t require the customer to ever even see your web page!

E-mail marketing is also extremely cost-effective (It’s FREE!) in addition to generating more sales for your business. Think about how much money it would cost you to send promotional content to each and every person on your “list” by regular mail. If you have around 100 e-mails on your “list”, it can cost you at least $42! If you acquire a larger list sometime in the future, which is what you WANT to do, the cost can become hundreds, or even thousands, of dollars! This is all in comparison to paying absolutely nothing to send e-mails!

Some other benefits to think about are:

The vast majority of affiliate courses and programs provide e-mail templates and tricks explaining how to compile a large “list” of e-mail addresses. Make sure you do your research and find the product that is right for YOU!
